COOK, Marcella Ann Kissel, 87, of Benwood, passed away on September 1, 2016.
Born in Benwood on January 1, 1929, to the late Andrew and Anna Kissel, Marcella is survived by her daughter Patricia Haegele (Gerry) and sons Thomas (Mei Mei) and Paul (Lynn) and her grandchildren Stacey Cook, Matthew Cook (Hilary), Allison Cook, and Hilary Loso (Drew).
She was proceeded in death by her brother Andrew Kissel (Sally) and sisters Josephine Kissel and Teresa Kerwood (Carl). Marcella was a lifelong member of the St. John’s Catholic Church, dedicated to its Rosary Alter Society, and a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10am until noon at Altmeyers Funeral Home, Benwood/McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Chapel on 159 Edgington Lane, Wheeling, WV. 26003 on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 1pm, with Rev. John Beckley S.M. serving as Celebrant.
