Marco Stephen Mitchell, 48, of Wheeling passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in Illinois.
He was born July 29, 1968, the son of Antonietta (Spinelli) and the late Theodore Mitchell. Marco was a Catholic by faith and a US Army Veteran. After the Army, he began work as a truck driver, he enjoyed his job and the ability to travel. Marco loved working on motors, helping others in need, spending time with family and friends, and above all he loved being a “Pap-Pap”.
Marco is survived by his mother, Ann Mitchell; two children, Marco Stephen Mitchell II and Marcella Rose Ann Mitchell; two step-children, John and Shawn Yarbrough; three sisters, Tedi (Mike) Ferrell, Debbie (late Shawn) Moczek, and Marci (Tom) Garchar; one grandson, Damien Alexander Mitchell; several aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 3 pm until time of service at 6 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, with Fr. Doug Ondeck officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
