Marilou (Wells) Witt, age 74, of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021.

She was born October 16, 1946, daughter of the late Encil and Elizabeth (Blatt) Wells. Marilou was born and raised in Wheeling and graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1965. She was loved by so many, but above all, she cherished her grandchildren, who will always remember her as “Grammie” and her dog, Gracie.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn Strope, Judy Wilson and Karen Conway, and brother Donald Wells.

Marilou is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of over 53 years, Ronald A. Witt, Sr.; son Ronald A. Witt, Jr.; daughter Natalie Witt (Stephen) Washine and three grandchildren, Emily Witt, Elizabeth Washine and Abigail Washine.

Family and friends will be received Friday, May 7, 2021, from 5-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 1300 Eoff Street, Wheeling.

My condolence to Ron, Robin,Randy and the family. Marilou was my neighbor and playmate when we were children. I have nice memories of those days. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone.

Marilou, from the moment we met we hit it off, you not understanding my Brooklyn accent, me not understanding you. We had many laughs and some tears I will always remember with fondness, you were special. Till we meet again my friend.
