Mark Edwin Myers, 70, of McMechen, West Virginia passed away December 31, 2021 in his home.
Mark was born to the late Herschel and Esther Myers on November 7, 1951 in Glen Dale, WV. He is a Navy veteran and worked many years for Wheeling Steel.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, a step son Dale Carmichael, and a sister, Barb Myers.
He is survived by Carol Myers; three step-children Faye (Bill) Cherry, Lloyd Carmichael, and Debbie Carmichael; A sister Jean; two nieces, Tracy and Kelly; As well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Friends and family will be received from 1-3, prior to the services beginning at 3, on Saturday January 15, 2022, at Altmeyer Funeral Home McMechen, 214 Marshall Street, WV 26040.
Goodbye good friend. Gone too soon but I hope you are in a better place and resting comfortably.

Mark and I grew up together as neighbors and best friends in McMechen from 1955 to 1969 and were constantly together playing baseball, football, and other sports in our adjoining back yards and n Baltimore Street which ran beside our houses. Great childhood and teenage memories of Mark and his Mom and Dad and sisters.
