Mark Louis Anthony, 64, passed away, Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in Liza’s Place, Wheeling.
He was born March 29, 1952 in Wheeling, a son of Louis J., Jr. and Nancy (Moczek) Anthony of Wheeling.
Mark was a Catholic by faith; attended St. Michael Catholic Grade School; was a 1970 graduate of CCHS, where he played football; and was an avid all around sports fan, who favored the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also the longest living liver transplant recipient of 26 years at Ohio State University.
Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis J. and Mary Ann (Garbo) Anthony; maternal grandparents, Stanley W. and Alice (Lowe) Moczek; and several aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Michael J. (Diane) Anthony and Mitchell J. Anthony; 3 sisters, Marianne, Melanie and Melissa Anthony; several nieces and nephews; a great niece; a great nephew; two special aunts and uncles, Rosalie and Bob Gillespie and Pat and Clara Lou Moczek; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends received Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 5:00 until time of service at 7:00 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff Street.

We were just talking about Mark at my class reunion on Saturday night, and remarking what a great athlete he was. So sorry to hear the news. RIP Mark. Prayers for the Anthony family.
