TO THE BARTOLIVICH FAMILY. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY FOR THE LOSS OF MARTHA LEE. SHE WAS THE MATRIARCH WHO KEPT THE HOMESTEAD. A VERY HARD WORKER. YOU COULDN’T PASS THE BACK PORCH WITHOUT MARTHA BEING BACK THERE WITH A BIG SMILE AND HELLO. THE BARTOLOVICH FAMILY WAS AN ANCHOR FOR WE BENWOOD FOLKS ON OUR BLOCK. MAY SHE HAVE HER ETERNAL REST IN HEAVEN…
I’m saddened to hear of the passing of a Martha. The Butts’ family were lifetime neighbors of the Bartolovich family. Many fond memories of days gone by and growing up in Benwood. God Bless her and may she be received in heaven with welcoming arms and reunited with all loved ones awaiting .. .
So sorry for your loss Busty. Sending prayers and condolences to you, Mary K. and your family members.
To: Busty, Steve, Ralph, Norma, Andrea and Muggy…..Martha was a legend at the corner of 5th and Main. What a quiet, smiling lady who always waved from her porch! Nobody in Benwood had a cleaner sidewalk…..summer or especially in winter when she was bundled up and shoveling at the first snowfall…..Great memory!! …..If she’s not in heaven, none of us have a chance!
