Paul, I just saw Mary Beth’s passing in the MdC newsletter. I wanted to let you know that I had so many great memories of Mary Beth from all through grade school through high school. She was a great friend. We used to ride our bikes through those alleys and think that we were on top of the world. Then when we moved on to driving we used to sit in my car in the parking lot of DiCarlo’s and eat 6 pieces of pizza each. Whenever I drive to Wheeling now there is not one time that I do not think of those easy carefree days of eating and laughing in that parking lot as I pass it. Mary Beth had a beautiful spirit and I am grateful that I got to touch it.

Your kind laughter and comfort you brought to many can’t be replaced. The world would be a better place If everyone was as fun as you. … your endless journey has begun ..God has you now !!

Whenever you greeted me you always made me feel like I was the only person in the room, and you never failed to lift my spirits, even when I knew you weren’t feeling your best. Your generosity of spirit and your ability to be present with people in the moment, to give them your full attention and love, was staggering to me. I also remember your working with my Autistic son, Sam, at the Summer ARC Program, with such grace and gentility. Many precious memories and gratitude.

My condolences to the Mueller family. When I heard of Mary Beths passing I was automatically filled with tears and sadness. Then I started thinking about Mary Beth, and as only Mary could make you do I started smiling, laughing, and shaking my head. I feel very fortunate to have had Mary Beth in my life and so many memories. She will be missed.
