Michael W. Simons, Sr., 85, of Wheeling, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Country Club Retirement Campus, Bellaire, OH.
He was born August 8, 1933 in Glouster, OH, a son of the late John and Mary Kochis Simons.
Michael was retired from the former Fostoria Glass Co., was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jane Hall Simons in 1995, 2 brothers; Robert and George Simons and a sister; Orpha Tippett.
Michael is survived by his wife, Karen Floyd Simons, 3 sons; Michael Simons, Jr., Patrick Simons and Andrew Simons, all of Moundsville, step-son; Shawn (Eva) Wnek of AZ, a brother; James (Anita) Simons of Jacksonville, OH, 3 grandchildren and a step granddaughter; Paige Wnek.
Michael’s family will receive friends on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Augustine as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.

KAREN AND FAMILY,
SO SORRY YOU LOST MIKE. HE WAS A GOOD MAN WHO WILL BE MISSED BY ALL HIS FRIENDS AT OUR LADY OF PEACE. GOD BLESS YOU THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
