Nancy Reass Holloway, 72, of Wheeling passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022.

She was born to the late Robert Frank and Nancy Leota (Coffee) Reass on December 10, 1949.

Nancy, a Lutheran by faith, and a faithful member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, is remembered as a wonderful teacher of Math and Home Economics with Ohio County Schools for 34 years, who had a love for children, animals, the church and her family. She was a very talented sewer, and throughout her life Nancy sewed special clothing and costumes for her daughter, husband and others including her own wedding dress. Nancy enjoyed gardening and genealogy, having traced her own family heritage back several generations.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her infant son, David Christopher Holloway.

Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life for more than 50 years, and her adoring husband for 48 years, Larry Holloway; devoted daughter, Holly (Karl) Holloway Mueller; darling grandson, Jonathan Michael Mueller; brother, Robert Scott Reass; nephew and niece, Josh Reass and Sara (Aaron) Halaja; and grandnephew, Everett Aaron Halaja.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street Wheeling, WV and Friday September 9, 2022 11:00am until time of service at 12 noon at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church on Chapline Street Wheeling, WV with Rev. Larry was a member of a group of a local high school group, and, together, he and Nancy joined us once a month for a get-together of friends at local restaurants to keep up-to-date on our lives. Nancy was part of that group, and will be missed by one and all. Our prayers go out to Larry and Nancy’s friends and family during this time of loss. May God grant peace and strength to remember Nancy as a very good friend, and part of our lives.
