Nancy M. Perry, 61, of McMechen, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 11, 2017, at home with family.
She was born October 9, 1955, a daughter of the late Robert Charles and Dorothy P. (Walton) Coleman. Nancy was a member of McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church, where she was the choir director and served as a past secretary. She was a member of the former McMechen Lion’s club and enjoyed playing the piano. Above all, Nancy loved her family, and traveling and hunting with her husband.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her uncle, Charles Sonny Walton; and two brothers-in-law, Rev. John W. Mencer and Angus “Joe” MacFadyen.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Richard Perry; two children, Matt (Kim) Perry of Colorado Springs, CO, and Malissa (Grant) Carter of Glen Easton, WV; two sisters, Beth Mencer and Martha MacFadyen both of Moundsville, WV; four grandchildren, Ryan and Rebecca Perry and Emily and Gracie Carter, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 215 Marshall Street, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 15 at 11 am with Rev. April Forkey officiating. Entombment will take place at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.

The passing of a dear loved one, is a difficult experience for the family. Sorry for your loss. To Richard and Family. May God wrap his arms around you during this time. Nancy was such a kind person to me and my mother. Always had a smile and always encouraging.
My sincere sympathy to you of a most wonderful cheerful friendly lady. I have never heard her say a bad word about anyone. Her sweet smile lit up the room. Richard, Matt and Missy, just remember and keep your memories alive. But she will be missed very much.
