Nathan Alan Mamula, 69, of McMechen, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

He was born October 1, 1952 in Wheeling, the son of the late Nickolas and Mildred (Duggan) Mamula.

Nathan was a retired coal miner for Shoemaker Mine and loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother Troy Robert Mamula.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years Wendy (Hanna) Mamula; two sons Michael Mamula (Verna) of McMechen and Casey Mamula of McMechen; a brother Willis Mamula (Denise) of Martins Ferry; six grandchildren Slayer Gray, Elizabeth Kittle, Camden Mamula, Kerstyn Sharp, Cayden Mamula and Chayce Mamula; one great grandchild Abel Kittle; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen.Memorial Services will be held at a later date and time at Harvest Baptist Church, Moundsville.

Nathan was one of the best men I ever met. He was a man who worked hard to provide for his family that he loved very much. I was lucky to call him my friend. I will miss him. Love and prayers for his family.
