Norman L. Derrow, 70, of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Friday, November 17, 2017, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W.Va.
Norman was born June 2, 1947, in Glen Dale, the son of the late Ralph and Velma (Sims) Derrow. He was a retired mechanic for Consolidated Coal Co., Shoemaker Mine, Benwood, W.Va., with 38 years of service. He was U.S. Marine Corp. Vietnam veteran; a member of the Moose Lodge, Moundsville; and the V.F.W., Moundsville and Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Bibiana (Smith) Derrow; three children, Krista (David) Elliott, Carrie Mason, David (Tracy) Derrow, all of Moundsville; two sisters, June (James) Campbell of Hamilton, Ohio, and Judy (Jeff) McCheskey of Jamestown, N.Y.; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday, from 4-8 pm, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, November 21, 2017, with Kathy Wills officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Robert Ridge, Moundsville, with full military honors provided by the Moundsville Veterans Honor Guard.
