Pamela Sue (Gorby) Welling, 63, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, in Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.
Pamela was born January 14, 1954 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Elmer and Beverly (Sutton) Gorby. She was a retired supervisor for Convenient Food Mart; and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wheeling.
Pamela is survived by her husband of 45 years, David L. Welling; five children, Denise (Steve) Curran of Morehead, Ky., and Melissa, Beverly, David Jr. and Mark Welling, all of Wheeling; ten grandchildren, Scott, Brittany, Tiffany, Ryel II, Shane Jr., Adyson, Dominic, Mersades, Mark Jr. and Gavin; eight great-grandchildren; and her dog, Duke.
In accordance with Pamela’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. David and family, I am sorry for your loss and to hear of Pam’s passing. She was a wonderful person and friend, even though we had lost touch over the years I still considered her my friend. May you find comfort in your faith and knowing that Pam is no longer suffering. May she rest in peace and let perpetual light shine on her.
