Cemetery

Patricia Ann Jebbia (Pat) of Wheeling, WV passed away on November, 16, 2021. She was an elegant, kind, generous woman and a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She was born to Mildred and Harry Ray McCallister on November 14,1930. She is survived by her daughter Lynn, sons Paul (Carol) and Geno (Robyn), beloved grandson Josh (Jill), granddaughters Dr. Josie Znidarsic (John) and Jenny O’Dell (Darin), great granddaughters Keira O’Dell, Clara and Hattie Znidarsic, sister Sharon Hickman (Duck) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene (Gene) and brother Dale McCallister.

Pat co-founded Jebbia’s Market in Wheeling in 1967 with husband Eugene (Gene). They were fortunate enough to have their sons Paul and Geno, the current owners, work with them in the business from the beginning. They grew Jebbia’s Market from a small, quaint corner fruit market to what it is today. Daughter Lynn created the deli in the market.

Despite the fact that she only traveled west of the Mississippi twice and only came face to face with a horse a couple of times, Pat’s favorite pastime was watching cowboy movies. She loved watching any western, but especially the old ones on the classic movie stations, even more than QVC in her last years. She loved being in Florida in the winter and will be missed by her neighbors and friends. Happy Trails, Dear Pat.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 am, Sunday, November 21, 2021, with Rev Paul Cabrita officiating. A private entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.

Memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center, 125 18th Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.

Paul, Geno, Josh: I was surfing around on Google and found your mother’s/grandma’s obituary. I am deeply saddened and disappointed that I didn’t even know until now. In fact, I had no clue that your dad/grandpa’s death had been so long ago. I know what it’s like to lose my parents, so I can relate to your sorrow. I hope it has turned into a sweet joy, as you remember all the great memories, how they shaped and formed you into the men you are today. God bless you all!

Sorry to see about Patricia. One of the bad things about being retired is not enjoying having her come in for her appointments. She was a very nice patient, and it didn’t seem a lot like work when she came in. I’m sure you’ll miss her a lot.
May God comfort your in your loss and may many good memories sustain you.

Lynn…..I could never forget your Mother… when walking home from grade school we would stop at your home on the Park…she always had a treat for us, she was always a sweet kind caring person…and yes, she would lecture us about the right things we should do……. Later living on Hamilton, I would see here around our neighborhood and she always had positive things to say… I certainly remember your Mom!
