Patricia Ann (Comer) Wilson, 71, of McMechen, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 31, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born May 27, 1950 in Wheeling, the daughter of Louis R. Comer of McMechen and the late Mary Ann Barnett.
Patricia was a retired dispatcher for the city of McMechen; a member of St. James Catholic Church; served eight years on McMechen City Council; a twenty five year member of McMechen Fire Dept; an EMT for eighteen years and was a volunteer for seventeen years for Center McMechen and Ritchie Schools.
In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by a sister Cheryl Long; her father and mother-in-law Orville and Bertha Wilson; brothers-in-law James and John Wilson.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years Orville E. Wilson Jr.; four children Bill Wilson (Kim) of McMechen, Michele Goddard (Sean Conaway) of Wheeling, Sherri Chalfant (Mike) of Jacobsburg, Ohio, and Melissa Wilson (Kyle Yant) of Wintersville, Ohio; four sisters, Mary “Binky” Lufft of Wheeling, Nancy Taylor of Titusville, Tanna Santimarino (John) of Wheeling and Kathy Michelucci of McMechen; three brothers Robert Comer (Shannon Kelley) of Wheeling, Bill Swanson of Alabama and Kevin Witkowski of McMechen; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and again on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11 am at St James Catholic Church with Monsignor Samuel Sacus as celebrant. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
Fireman’s Service will be held Thursday at 7 pm at the funeral home.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew the family when she was a little kid before I moved away. I knew her dad very well back then. May god bless everyone who is grieving at this time.
