Patricia Ann (Murphy) McGinley, 90, formerly of Locust Avenue, Wheeling, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, in Liza’s Place, Wheeling.
Patricia was born January 27, 1926 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Edwin and Hazel (Locke) Murphy. She was a graduate of Wheeling High School and a member of St. Michael Parish, Wheeling. She was also a former secretary and bookkeeper for St. Michael Parish, having retired after 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” McGinley, in 1999; a brother, Edwin Murphy; and a sister, Joan Stavich.
Patricia is survived by her four children, W. Daniel McGinley of Jasper, GA; Matthew R. (Barbara) McGinley of Hendersonville, NC; Pamela J. Davis of Charlottesville, VA; and Suzanne (Larry) Brown of Glen Dale, WV; a sister, Sandra (Robert) Martin of Mission Viejo, CA; and three grandchildren, Michelle L. (Chris) Burton of Bridgeville, PA, Leslie Davis of Reston, VA, and Lindsay Davis of Washington D.C.
Friends will be received from 6-8 pm, Thursday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Friday, July 15, 2016, at St. Michael Catholic Church, with the Rev. Cody Ford as celebrant. Entombment will be in Mount Calvary Garden Mausoleum, Wheeling.
