Pearl Leetta Schafer, 90, of Port Huron, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016.
She was born April 5, 1926 in Proctor, West Virginia, to the late William H. and Emma Jane Alman Montgomery. She married William Schafer on June 30, 1967 in Proctor.
Pearl is survived by her loving husband, of 49 years, William; daughters, Lorrie (Matt) Tanton and Hazel (Jerry) Reinhardt; grandchildren, Connie (Andy) Orosz, Mary (James) Hill, Letty (Bill) Seabright, Jerry Reinhardt, Lori (Greg) Preston, Michelle (John) Raymond; great grandchildren, Kristin Seabright, Amber (Jeremy) Bruce, Devin Parsons, Matthew Orosz, David Orosz, John Orosz, Brittley Hill, Brielle Hill, JT Hill, Haleigh Preston, Coen Preston, Katelynn Preston, Lincoln Preston, John Raymond, Caroline Raymond; great-great grandchildren, Cadence, Lila, Quentin, Mirabella; a brother, Paul (Marlene) Montgomery; several nieces and nephews; and a beloved granddog, Flash.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two children, Elwood Slider and Loretta Ullum; and siblings, Elmer Montgomery, Lloyd Montgomery, Mary Stiles, Lawrence Montgomery, Philo Montgomery, Larkin-Shermin Montgomery, Earl Montgomery, and Eugene Montgomery.
Family and friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Monday, October 24, 2016 at Altmeyer Funeral Home Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff St. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, October 25, at 11 am in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Fr. Bekeh Utietiang officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
