Phyllis Ethel (Thompson) Grob, joined the angels on June 12, 2018, after her stay at Forest Hill Retirement Center.
Phyllis was born March 27, 1928, in Moundsville, W.Va., the daughter of the late Homer and Lala (Hubbs) Thompson.
God looked around the garden and saw an empty space. He then looked down upon earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine.” It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone; For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Francis Grob; and brothers. Surviving are her children, Mary Ann (Grob) Haught and her husband, Howard; Kenneth F. Grob and his wife, Lorie, and Patty and Kelly; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private services by Pastor Gary Eller were held Friday, June 15, 2018.
