Raymond Eugene Gooch, 60, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, in Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.

Raymond was born December 30, 1960 in Wheeling, a son of the late Francis E. and Nancy (Williams) Gooch. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Clara Gooch; a sister, Theresa Gooch; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia Gooch of Martins Ferry; two children, Charlie Rutan (Lacy) and Ricky Rutan, both of Martins Ferry; two sisters, Adrienne McCardle of Barnesville, OH and Cheryl Williams of Wellsburg, WV; a brother, Francis VanCamp of Wheeling; and a granddaughter, Deborah Banks.

Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, Monday, September 13, 2021, from 10 am until time of service at 1 pm, with Rev. Rod Kasler officiating. Interment will follow in Prall Cemetery, West Liberty, WV, with full military honors.
