WEST, REXINE ELAINE (SHOOK), of Cameron, WV, died August 6, 2018, at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV, surrounded by her children.

She was born February 15, 1936, a daughter of the late C. R. “Bob” Shook and Gayel Allen Shook.

Mrs. West was a loving wife and mother.  She was a life-long member of the Wolf Run Presbyterian Church, Cameron, WV, and served as Treasurer of the Ladies Circle for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She especially cherished the time spent with her two grandchildren, Logan and Amanda.

In addition to her parents, Rexine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy Lee West; and two sisters and one brother:  Kathryn Shook of Cameron, WV; Geraldine (Norman) Stenback of Ukiah, CA; and Ronald Shook of Moundsville, WV.

She is survived by her three children: Sharon (Richard John) DaRe of Lansing, OH; Perry (Donna) West of Moundsville, WV; and Shelly (Bryan) Buzzard of Piedmont, OH; two grandchildren:  Logan Buzzard of Piedmont, OH, and Amanda (Drew) Blake of Cameron, WV; and two brothers:  Kenneth Shook of Moundsville, WV and Wayne (Judy) Shook of Cameron, WV; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Honoring our Mother’s wishes, private graveside services will be held at the Wolf Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Sharon, Perry, and Shelly, I am so sorry for your loss. I love Rexine! I remember many years ago her telling us to be quiet and go to sleep during our sleep overs. Such fun memories. You are all in my prayers and God bless you. Love, Carol
