Ricky Ray Renforth

May 18, 1960 - August 18, 2023

05/18/1960 - 08/18/2023

Ricky Ray Renforth, a good ol’ boy with a heart of gold, passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 63, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 18, 1960, in Wheeling, WV, and his passing occurred at Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South.

Ricky was a man who valued family above all else. He loved his kin dearly and would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His selflessness and kind nature were truly inspiring to all who knew him.

In his free time, Ricky enjoyed the thrill of mudding and off-roading. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature in a unique way. He found solace in the great outdoors and cherished these moments spent exploring with loved ones.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, George Renforth III; sister, Margaret Boyd; nephew, Jesse Boyd; sister-in-law, Terry Renforth; and best buddy, Gerald “Jerry” Hair. Although their absence leaves a void in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that Ricky is reunited with them in eternal peace.

He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Louise Carr, and his devoted siblings: George “Sonny” Renforth, Terry Renforth, Tammy Renforth, Kelly (Bobby) Martin, and Shandy (James) Andrews. Ricky’s memory will also be cherished by his very good friend, T-Bone Danhart.

Additionally, he leaves behind a legacy of love with his nieces and nephews: Scott (Crystal) Boyd, Mary (William) Mitchell, Sarah (David) Burt, Bobby (Kindeth) Martin III, Stephen Thompson, Denna Barker, Jeorge Renforth, Derek Renforth, Casey Thomason, Morgan Thomason, and his great nieces and nephews: Keith Boyd, Kayleigh Andrews, Mikalah Andrews, Tristan Mitchell, Serenity Burt, Christian Mitchell, Montana Margaret Boyd, Liam Boyd, Seya Thomason, Harrison Thomason, Emma Renforth, Ethan Renforth, Alyssa Witter, Kayleigh Betras, Ryan Murphy, Bailey Barker, Justin Barker, Braden Barker, Genesis Thompson, Jamison Thompson, Margarette Andrews, Bryson Thompson, Kerighan Hembree, and Bobby (Odin) Martin IV. Furthermore, Ricky held a special place in his heart for his great-great nieces, Alaina Boyd, and his beloved “turd-bird” Secillia Campbell.

Ricky Ray Renforth will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him. His unwavering love, compassion, and willingness to help others will continue to inspire us. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we carry his memory in our hearts forever.
