Robert Anthony “Tony” Hilbert, 40, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at home.

He was born April 8, 1980, in Beckley, WV, a son of Brenda (Reed) Hale and the late Robert R. Hilbert. Tony was an underground coal miner with JennMar Coal Services.

Tony was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was an avid outdoorsman and would spend hours hunting, fishing, camping and his favorite hobby, catching rattle snakes and copperheads. He spending time with children, as he was a kid at heart himself. Tony was a true down to earth man who cherished his family and friends above anything else.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 1 pm until time of services at 5 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help during this difficult time.

To my best friend and my only love, you were my sweet blue eyed man. You were one of the strongest most incredible people I have ever known. You was such a great mentor teacher partner family/friend. This is took me 1yr and 8 months 16 days to even look at your obituary for the first time. I am so grateful that God blessed me with knowing what absolute true unconditional love ❤️ was you will always have my whole heart Tony this has been the hardest thing I’ve been through. Sometimes I wait for your call to come. I have so many great memories with you from child hood to an adult. Because of you I am a strong amazing independent woman thank you baby. I thank God I did get to see you those last couple days before you left us to go home. I know that Annie and your girls we all miss you so terribly but we know your still here with us watching over us from a far. I am so proud of you Robert Anthony for the man you had become. My heart whats left goes out to your brothers Patrick Ray, jerbear, your beautiful mommy and beautiful sweet Nan Reed as well as the rest of your loved ones on the Reed and Hilbert side. I know your your in heaven with your daddy and papa Reed and okay so until I see you again fly high baby with them angels I love you to heaven and back this life and the next for all eternity.
