Ms Kendall was one of my all time favorite teachers at the old Logan Junior High School in Logan WV. She was full of compassion for her students at all times. our schools need more like her today. I am so thankful that I had her as a teacher and the guidance that she showed me and other students will go with me for the rest of my life. May God richly bless her family and bring comfort to them during this trying time.
I was sorry to read about Bobbi. She and Winifred were great neighbors to us on Booth Avenue. I know that she and my mother, Anna Lee Lilly, wrote each other often. Mother died in Dec. 2013 (and had turned 90 that Oct.). Daddy died on his 86th birthday in January 2009. I am always so very thankful that Winifred saved Mother’s life in May 1973 when she saw her lying in the driveway (and thought it was an article of clothing). I shared some good memories with my husband–you could always count on the Kendalls to buy the Girl Scout cookies that Ellen and I were selling. I remember their dog, but not the name. I think this dog ate a whole box of Russell Stover chocolates and was okay afterwards. I send my deepest sympathy to all of Bobbi’s family.
