Robey L. Woods, 79, of Glen Easton, WV, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
He was born October 27, 1937, a son of the late Earl and Rachel (Wright) Woods. Robey worked for Fostoria Glass for many years. He was an avid reader, and a devoted family man, who always taught his sons, “family comes first”.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death one grandson, Arthur Woods; two sisters, Delores Hill and Lou Ella Solomon and one brother, Earl Woods.
Robey is survived by his loving wife, of 56 years, Judy (Smith) Woods; two sons, Arthur (Kim) Woods and Michael (Lacie) Woods; nine grandchildren, Crystal, Kayla, Amanda, Josie, Jenny, Sara, Kaytlin, Finley and Lexie; two great-grandsons, Alden and Gabe; one sister, Barbara Stern; three brothers, Bob, Jim and Hank Woods and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Monday, August 28, 2017 from 2-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., where services will be held Tuesday, August 29 at 1 pm with Pastor Wayne Cross officiating.

Judy, I don’t believe I ever met Robey but I remember you talking about him when we were younger. I am sure he was a wonderful husband and companion.
