MONROE, Rodney L., 41, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 9, 1973, in Wheeling, a son to Delmos Monroe of Moundsville, W.Va. and Jewell (Salem) Monroe of Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was a member of the Vineyard Church in Wheeling and a member of the Greyhound Association.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Brooklyn Monroe of Martins Ferry, Shaelee Monroe of Martins Ferry, and Ryan Monroe of Wheeling; one sister, Connie Monroe of Martins Ferry; one niece, Dana Beavers; one nephew, James Beavers Jr.; and his special companion, Bailey.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 12-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11 am with Rev. Chris Figaretti and Rev. Barry Bullman officiating. Interment will follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
