Ronald Francis Pearl, 77, McMechen, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Ronald was born July 29 1939 in Wheeling, a son of the late James and Albina (Cisar) Pearl. He was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, McMechen.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. (Fisher) Pearl, two children, Cynthia Blake and her fiancé Steve Moffit of McMchen, and David A. (Cynthia) Pearl of Lynchburg, Oh; one brother, James (Doreen) Pearl of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Jimmy Blake, John Blake, Jeremy Blake, Samantha Pearl; and one niece, Shandley Pearl.
Ronald retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel-Yorkville plant, after thirty plus years. He was a lifetime member of the McMechen Volunteer Fire Department, former treasurer of the Athletic Board and Boosters of Bishop Donahue High School, and the Knights of Columbus #1907. He also was an avid Notre Dame fan.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, where a prayer service will be held at 7 pm by the McMechen Volunteer Fire Department and a vigil service will be held by Rev. Bekeh Utietiang immediately after.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Friday, June 2, 2017, at St. James Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bekeh Utietiang
