Ronley David VanDyke, 82, of McDowell County, W.Va., passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, in Wheeling, W.Va.

Ron was born January 6, 1934 in Yukon, W.Va., a son of the late Henry and Eva VanDyke. He was retired from Ford Motor Company; a Baptist by faith; and a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy (Jenkins) VanDyke, in 2012; two sons, Anthony VanDyke and Ronley David VanDyke, Jr.; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Ron is survived by his children, Mary Cassell of Wheeling, Keri (Nathaniel) Lowery of War, W.Va., Scottie Lee VanDyke of Pocahontas, Va., Clarissa (Jack) Christian of War, and Rhonda Christian of Thomasville, N.C.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Ron’s wishes, he will be cremated. Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943, or online at www.TMCfunding.com.
