Rose Marie Warsinsky, 95, of McMechen, WV, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Friday, January 7, 2022, at Stonerise Health Care (Moundview).
She was born in Benwood, WV, December 9, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Patterson) Dado. Rose was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society, McMechen Women’s Club and a former Girl Scout Leader. She won the Honorable Elders Fitness Award and later moved on to teach fitness classes herself. After her children were raised, Rose attended the B. M. Spurr School of Practical Nursing in Glen Dale and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for several years at Reynolds Memorial Hospital and later as a Private Duty Nurse.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Thomas Lee Warsinsky; an infant son, Brent Warsinsky (1970); son Thomas “Tommy Joe” Warsinsky (1988); beloved daughter-in-law, Deborah Warsinsky; her brother John “Jack” Dado and two sisters, Loretta Warsinsky and Mary Alice Jones.
Rose is survived by three children, Roseann (Mike) Ferro, Chris Warsinsky and Sheila (Mark) Nelson all of McMechen, WV; seven grandchildren, Brett Ferro, Christopher Ferro, Adam Ferro, Nathalee Warsinsky, Hunter (Larkin) Warsinsky, Hesper Nelson and Sav Nelson; four great-grandchildren, Abi, Braxton, Grant and Hank and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm with a vigil service at 7:30 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen. A mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, January 12th at 10 am at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will be held at McMechen Cemetery.
