Dear kids.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your mother.
I don’t think you know me. I’m a retired dentist in Wheeling.
Your father and I entered the US Army together 65 years ago (1952). We trained together at Camp Breckenridge Kentucky. During our basic training whenever we got a chance to come home for a quick weekend we would travel in your dad’s old coop car. I met your mother during dad and my service in the Army. A funny story I recall was one weekend we drove home in your grandfather was waiting for dad at his garage and while we were home for only about 12 hours your grandfather did a complete replacement of rings on the motor of dad’s car and just finished in time for us to return to our Army base. Your mother and dad and my wife and I got together several times during our service training and afterwards. Through the past 65 years dad and I were not close to each other but did on occasions run into each other. I was sorry to read a few years ago when they had the fire in their home.
You’ve Had wonderful parents and I’m sure you will miss them terribly.
