Shaolin D. Hicks, 19, formerly of Wheeling, W. Va., passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born August 17, 1996, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of Jeremile Alexander and Marion Hicks. Shaolin was extremely close to his family and wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps by opening his own business, and took pride in being a big brother He enjoyed making films, dancing and recording music. Shaolin lived life to the fullest and always tried to keep the peace.

He is survived by his six siblings, Michael, Noreaja, Sonique, Ta’jion Pearson, Jeremile Alexander Jr., and Elijah Williams.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, October 25, 2015, from 12 pm until time of service at 2 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeilng, with Pastor Randy McAllister officiating.

To my family my my prayers our with you at this difficult time.Shaolin is gone in flesh but lives on thru us his present and knowledge will live on. What a great young man he has became.he has touch so many hearts and many didn’t even know it. from strangers to neighbors in steubenville, Martin ferry to wheeling. His smile was so unforgetful. The last time I saw him was at my moms house the day my uncle passed away and his presents was greatly appreciated. I will forever be greatful to have a younger cousin as him . May God arch over his family and friends. Love Tanishia from me and my family
