Sharon C. May, 69, of Glen Dale, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 30, 2021.

She is survived by the love of her life of 50+ years, Daniel May, a son Joshua May (Laurie) of Wheeling, and a daughter Alyssa May-Pettit (Courtney) of Cameron. Beloved Nana of Bodie and Blaire Pettit, who were her entire world.

Preceded in death by her mother Gladys (Ruby) Hinerman, father Omey (Buzz) Hinerman, and brother David Hinerman. Sharon is also survived by a brother Gary (Judy) Hinerman, and a sister Krista (Kevin) Durbin, and many dear friends who adored fun adventures with her.

Sharon was a force of nature and was QVC’s number one customer of all-time. She spent many days shopping for new clothing, sparkly jewelry, makeup, purses and more. Her spirit and authenticity will be missed by family and friends.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 4 pm – 7 pm and Tuesday from 9 am until the time of services at 10 am at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Kirby-Vance Chapel at 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.

Simply put I loved Sharon. From the time she took me under her wing as a secretary for Jack Madden I knew she was so special. Sharon was smart, kind, beautiful and she loved her family so much! I filled in for her when she had Alyssa. She patiently taught me how things worked and when my job began earlier than expected she was just a phone call away. Danny, Josh, Alyssa please accept my condolences. She was one of the best.
