Shirley Ann Slokan, 79, of Moundsville, WV., passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, in St. Augustine, FL., surrounded by family.

She was born May 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn (Winters) Wayt. Shirley was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, John A. “Jack” Slokan; one sister, Jeannine McCann; one great-granddaughter, Abbigial McGilton-VanScyoc; and brother-in-law, Mike McCann.

Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Leann (Frank) Wolfe of St. Augustine, Fl., Terry (Kevin) McGilton of Moundsville, WV, and Jackie (Dave) Jameson of Moundsville, WV; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Lauren) Wolfe of St. Johns, FL., Jeff Wolfe of St. Augustine, FL., Danielle McGilton and her partner, Jessica Smith of Moundsville, WV., Courtney (Todd) VanScyoc of Orlando, FL., K. C. McGilton of Ft. Walton Beach, FL., Jessica Mullavey, her boyfriend, Roger Klinger and his son, Landon Klinger, of Warwood, WV, and Kayla Mullavey of Moundsville, WV; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey VanScyoc and Owen Wolfe.

A memorial service will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family.

SORRY ABOUT MRS. SLOKAN…..I’M SURE SHE HAD A FULL LIFE, ESPECIALLY ENJOYING HER DAUGHTERS, SON IN LAWS, GRANDKIDS, AND GREAT GRANDKIDS WHO SURROUNDED HER DURING HER TIME ON THIS EARTH…..MY THOUGHTS AND SYMPATHY GO OUT TO ALL HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHOSE LIVES SHE TOUCHED.

Leann, Terry, and Jackie, Sending hugs your way. I had the pleasure of working with your mom at Giant Eagle for many years. She was a beautiful person inside and out. May God Be With You All. RIP Shirley!
