Shirley Ann Dietz, 81, of Wheeling, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1934 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late John and Sally Jacobs Dusick.
Shirley was owner-operator of the former Eagle Inn, and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Dietz in 1997, 2 brothers; John and Don Dusick and a sister; Patty Dusick.
Surviving are her children; Cyndi (Phil) Collins, of Columbus, OH, Gary Dietz (Stacy Greer) of Wheeling, Philip (Keri) Dietz of Westerville, OH, Tom (Diane) Dietz of Lewis Center, OH, a sister; Sandra Dusick, of Wheeling, 12 grandchildren; Jesse( Maureen) and Aaron Dietz, Kristin (Beau) Bokelman, Karin (Jim) Zink, Alyese, Max and Madison Collins, Rachel and Mitchel Dietz and Nicole, Marcus and Tyler Dietz, along with 6 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:30pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Michael Catholic Church with Msgr. Jeremiah McSweeney as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
