Stephen L. Himrod, 65, of Wheeling, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 in OSU James Cancer Center.
He was born November 28, 1949, a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Dumas) Himrod. Steve was a Catholic by faith, loved to ride his bicycle, go to the Water Front concert and movie series, and loved his dog, Bud.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Jim Steere.
Steve is survived by his girlfriend, Jane White of Moundsville; two children, Melissa Burkhart of Charleston, W. Va., and Stephen R. Himrod of Hawaii; seven siblings, Harold Steere of Fla., Paul (Gerry) Steere of Pa., Bill Steere of Calif., Frank (Faith) Steere of Ohio, Betsy (Ferman) Carr of Ohio, John (Annette) Steere of Ga., and Harry (Karen) Himrod of Wheeling; two grandchildren, Courtney Burkhart and Justin Caldwell, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
