Susan M. (Nick) Wolfson, 68, of St. Clairsville OH, passed
away unexpectedly July 10, 2022, at the residence of her
friend Grace Norton in Wheeling, WV. Sue was the daughter
of William and Mary Jane Nick, of Mentor, OH, born at Scott
Air Force Base in Belleville, IL, on November 16, 1952. She
married William Symons Wolfson of St. Clairsville in 1982.
The couple had two children, William Symons, Jr. (Sarah),
and Bryce Andrew.
A graduate of Dennison University and a devoted mother,
Sue was a stay-at-home mom before her two beloved sons
entered school. Sue was known by both family and friends
as a kind and gentle soul, loved and admired by her family
and friends for her compassion, caring, nurturing, and
attentiveness to those in need of assistance. She worked at
a variety of jobs in the media, childcare, and retailing. Sue
was an animal lover, especially fond of her own Collies and
kittens; the Collies raised and showed by her mother-in-law;
and the Norton dogs.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was
preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Eloise Wolfson, for
whom she was a caretaker; a brother, Robert Nick; and a
niece, Malerie Nick.
Sue was survived briefly by her son, Bill, Jr., of Grove City
OH, who passed away August 4, 2022. She is survived by
her son Bryce, of Minerva OH; brothers Mark Nick (Laura)
of Concord Twp., OH; and Bill Nick (Pam) of Grand River,
OH; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Nick of Saybrook Twp.,
OH. Sue is also survived by nephews Drew Nick (Trisha)
of Cincinnati, OH; Josef Nick (Katie) of Southgate, MI; and
Kevin (Melanie) Nick of Leroy Twp., OH; and niece Breanna
(Dan) Hartsel of Grand River, OH. She is also survived
by 13 close friends with whom she dined almost every
Wednesday.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Altmeyer
funeral home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling WV. August 20,
2022, Visitation at 1:00 p.m., funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

So sorry to read about Susan, I went to school with her & she never had a bad word for anyone. To all of her friends & family.Just know that she is at the table in the house of our Lord for a Feast in her Honor for a job well done. God Bless Ya’ll.

So sorry to read about Sue and Bill. The Kennel Club meant a lot to her mother-in law, Eloise and Sue participated in many of our events. Prayers for the family. RIP Sue and Bill.

So sorry for the loss of Sue and Bill, Jr. She was the sweetest, caring person. I also knew Eloise (school teacher and past St. Clairsville Ohio Kennel Club President). Healing thoughts for family and friends and especially Bryce.
