Ted Gayle Lucas aged 80 of Bridgeport Ohio went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday June 24th 2021 at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center.
He was a wonderful loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved watching all sports especially the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He was born August 25th,1940. He was an avid fisherman whose favorite fishing spot was at Rice Lake in Ontario Canada.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy Jane Lucas nee Hohman. As well as his parents Orval H. Lucas and Regina E. Gardner, and his son in law Jimmy Miller. As well as his brothers in law Thomas H. Hoyt and John W. Sikora.
He is survived by his son Ted A. Lucas (Victoria G.) of Columbus Ohio and daughter Gail M. Lucas (Jimmy) and granddaughters Trinity Miller, Liberty Miller and Serenity Miller and paternal grandmother Deb Savage of Newark Ohio, and Sisters Sharon L. Hoyt and Patricia A. Sikora.
He loved his Catholic faith and was one of the 50 founding families who founded The Church of the Resurrection in New Albany Ohio. He will be remembered as a kind and gracious friend to all and will be missed by everyone.
Mass will be held at The Church of the Resurrection in New Albany Ohio, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and will follow his interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at Schoedinger Funeral Home located at 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
