Teresa (South) Blake, age 54 of St. Clairsville, OH (formerly of Moundsville, WV), passed away on June 26, 2021, after a valiant battle with ovarian cancer. She was at home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
She is preceded in death by her father James South and preceded by brothers Steven South, Kevin Rodgers and sister Debbie Shreves.
With a take-charge attitude and feisty personality, Teresa will fondly be remembered as an amazing wife and a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed crafting, adored spending time with her grandchildren, and was known as a Starbucks and Amazon connoisseur. Teresa also did a great deal of traveling abroad, visiting places like Italy and her favorite, Ireland.
Teresa is survived by her husband Lane Blake; mother Donna (Jim) Hill of Daytona Beach, FL; daughters Kylie (Kris) Ryder of Moundsville, WV, Beth (Ned) Matherne of Houma, LA, Shane (Jillian) Blake of Baton Rouge, LA, and Brooklyn Blake of St. Clairsville, OH; brothers William (Cindy) South of Moundsville, WV, Kevin (Sherry) South of Acworth, GA, Rodney (Debbie) South of Wheeling, WV, sister Crystal (Alton) Mesecke of Fairchilds, TX, brothers Tony Amos of Bradenton, FL, Brian Rogers of Shadyside, OH; grandchildren Dustin Stone, Derek and Dylan Ryder; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and countless friends, including her best friend, Robin (Keith) Logsdon of Moundsville, WV.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (ocrahope.org).
The family would like to thank Dr. James O’Malley, his amazing team and the wonderful people of the James Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Ohio State University Hospital for their continuous care and support.
