Theresa (Skvarka) “MeeMaw” Scully, 92, of McMechen, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her daughters house.
Theresa was born in Benwood, WV on June 22, 1928 to the late Philip and Theresa (Kubic) Skvarka.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert F. Scully; two granddaughters, Sophie Ann and Roberta Frances Michaels; brothers, Philip, John and Joseph Skvarka; sister, Mary Skvarka and her Lifelong friend and family member, “Aunt” Ella Mae Bartrug.
She was a homemaker, member of St, James Catholic Church, Slovak Ladies Auxiliary, St. James Altar Society, McMechen Woman’s Club. She was a 500 Card Shark, loved shopping, Sunday polkas, crossword puzzles, word searches, soap operas, Game Show Network, family beach vacations, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was everything to her.
Survivors include her five children, Suzanne (Douglas) Estep of Proctor, WV, Daniel Scully of Apple Valley, CA, John Scully of McMechen, Mary (Mike) Fallova of Benwood and Elizabeth (Scott) Michaels of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Anthony (Jerri) Skvarka of Moundsville, WV; Sister-in-law, Olga Skvarka of Wheeling, WV; 10 grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Estep of Williamstown, WV, Cera (Adam) Price of Foster, WV, Nathan (Ashley) Fallova of Monroe, NC, Nicholas Fallova of Glen Dale, WV, Tess Fallova of Charlotte, NC, Benjamin Michaels of FL, Alaina Michaels of Charleston, SC, Carter Michaels of Pittsburg, PA Jacob Scully of CA and Emily (Ty) Boyd of TX; 6 great grandchilren, Benson, Cole and Lincoln Renee Estep, Hank Price, Gabriella Fallova and Eleanor Boyd: 3 nieces, Janet (Ron) Staib, Sandra (Bruce) Bonar and Mary Beth (Kelly) Smith and 3 nephews, Greg Church, Joseph (Mirka) Skvarka and Tom (Tucker) Skvarka.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 9, 2021, at 11 am at St. James Catholic Church, McMechen, with Rev. That Son serving as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
The family wants a special thank you expressed to Valley Hospice.
Per Covid guidelines mask are to be worn at the church.

Dear Suzanne & family, I have so many wonderful memories of your great mother! She was always smiling and laughing. So incredibly patient with us as teenagers!
