Thomas C. Witkoski Sr., 78, of Wheeling, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 in Liza’s Place.
He was born June 1, 1937, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Sinichko) Witkoski Sr. Thomas was a retired coal miner for Valley Camp Coal Mine #3, and was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, where he spent most of his time helping with activities.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Witkoski Jr.; and one sister, Mary Katherine West.
Tom is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Gary) Dilly of Barnesville, Ohio; one son, Thomas (Stephanie) Witkoski Jr., of Fla.; his ex-wife, Bonnie Witkoski, of Belmont, Ohio; six grandchildren, Tanya, Natasha, Jeremiah, Christina, Kyle, and Justin; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4136 Jacob St., Wheeling, where a funeral mass will be held Friday, August 14, at 10 am with Fr. Jason Charron officiating.
