Thomas E. Parsons, Jr., a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born on June 24, 1951, Tom lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. His untimely departure at the age of 71 has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

A man of immense integrity and kindness, Tom was a pillar of strength for his family. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Christina (Silver), for over 36 years, demonstrating a deep and abiding love that served as a shining example to others. Together, they built a life filled with joy along with their children, Jodi (Rick) Lich, Richard (Katorah) Griffith, and Natasha (Jayce) Patrello.

As a father and grandfather, Tom was a constant source of love, guidance, and support. He cherished his role as a dad and wholeheartedly embraced the joys and challenges that came with it. Tom was always present, whether it was attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, school events, or simply being a shoulder to lean on during challenging times. His unwavering encouragement and belief in their dreams served as a guiding light that allowed his children to flourish into the remarkable individuals they are today.

Tom’s dedication to his family extended beyond his immediate circle. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand and his open heartedness, making friends wherever he went. His warm smile, compassionate nature, and genuine interest in others made him a cherished confidant and a beacon of hope for those in need.

Tom was a long-time member of Limestone Presbyterian Church. Serving in many capacities in the church, he was known to be a member that could be counted on as a Deacon, session member, choir member and even filling the pulpit sometimes.

Tom had a love for the outdoors. An avid hunter, he found solace in the woods appreciating the tranquility that surrounded him.

Tom’s memory will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Christina; his children, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his father; and his brothers. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm at Limestone Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Limestone Cemetery.

Sorry to hear about Tom. Always sad when one of my sister’s former classmates from 1969 passes on. I’ll always remember Tom from the old days of playing flag football and fast pitch softball at East End. My thoughts and sympathy go out to all of his family and friends.
