Dear grieving family, I am truly sorry for your great loss and would like to express my condolences. It is my sincere hope you find comfort in knowing that God has promised to “swallow up death forever” (Isaiah 25:8) and that he will “resurrect our dear loved ones who have passed away.” (John 5:28; jw.org)

I can remember growing up as a child when we would have holiday family dinners, if we put something on our plate, Uncle Tom wouldn’t let us away from the table until we ate whatever we took. He used to grab our ears and hold on to them to keep our attention while he was talking to us. Whenever the boys would get into a fight, instead of him breaking them up, he would tell them to take it out in the yard and fight it out. Those were the memories of Uncle Tom that I can remember best, although he was an all around great man. He was always there whenever he was needed and was always willing to help out any way he could. He was definitely a one of a kind and he will truly be missed, but I’m sure that he and Aunt Linda are celebrating together in heaven as February 7th was their Anniversary, and they can both watch Mike and keep him in line while they all continue to be guardian angels and watch down on the rest of us. Love and miss you Uncle Tom!
