Timothy Harold Riggs, 51, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016.
He was born December 22, 1964 in Glen Dale, WV, son of the late Robert and Roseman (Gorby) Riggs.
Timothy is a retired correction officer for the Ohio Department of Corrections, retired U.S Army Reservist, SFC, attended the Trinity Gospel Fellowship Church in Flushing, OH, member of the St. Clairsville and Flushing American Legion, and a member of the Bethesda, OH, V.F.W.
He loved to take long walks at Barkcamp State Park, camp out, build models and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan.
Timothy is survived by his wife and best friend of 22 years, Jenny (Bell) Riggs of Flushing, OH; three children, Aaron Riggs and Lacritia Oberrath of Barnesville, OH, Seth Riggs of Barnesville, OH and Rachel Riggs of Flushing, OH; sister, Cindy (Mark) Gaskins of SC; five brothers, Royal Riggs of Brookside, OH, Bobby (Donna) Riggs of TX, Robert Riggs and two additional brothers; grandson, Bricker Riggs of Barnsville, OH and four nieces and nephews, Stefan and Jenna Riggs, Madison Gaskins and Tyler Bell.
Friends will be received Monday, May 2, 2016 from 10am until time of services at noon at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV, with Pastor Gary Smith officiating.
Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
