Verna L. Fecat, 81, of Moundsville, WV, went home to be with her Lord and savior, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Liza’s Place.

She was born February 19, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles V. and Ethel C. (Allen) Howard. Verna was a member of Hill View Terrace Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Stacy Marie Fecat.

Verna is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Raymond Fecat; four children, Michael Fecat of Moundsville, Steve (Jill) Fecat of Birmingham, AL, Karen Barker of Benwood, WV, Danny (Sherry) Fecat of Moundsville, WV; one brother, Louis Howard of Moundsville; three grandchildren, Cody McCutcheon, Molly (Jeff) Williams, and Julie Fecat; and three great-grandchildren, Boston McCutcheon and Colton and Anna Williams.

Family and friends will be received Monday, April 24, 2017, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., where funeral services will be held, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 1 pm with Pastor Andy Robison officiating. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Allegheny Hospital and Liza’s Place for all their help and concern.

So sorry about your loss for she was a beautiful person. Will miss seeing you and Uncle Raymond at McDonalds on Saturdays and the Beauty Shop.
