Viola Jean Hill, 70, of Moundsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
She was born June 23, 1951 in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Odis and Connie (Hayes) Martin.
Viola was a retired salesclerk for Fay’s Jewelry, Moundsville and a Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband David E. Hill in 2019; two brothers Ivan and Denzell Martin; a sister Alice Reed.
Surviving are two children David L. Hill (Joanie) of McMechen and Jena Richards (Ed) of Moundsville; two sisters Cherlotta Kuhn of Hundred and Dorothy Hendershot of Mannington; four brothers Wayne Martin (Julie) of Seattle Washington, Calvin Martin of Monongha, WV, Robert Martin ( Ethel) of Rymer, WV. and Donald Martin of Fairmont; four grandchildren Nikki Wilson, Alex Hill, Savannah Richards and Mikey Richards.
Friends will be received on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave, Moundsville. Services will be Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11 am with Rev. Ray Klages officiating. Interment to follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard.
I remember her long time go went to Faye jewelry store at Moundsville wv with my grandma and my grandpa Richard f Anderson’s we sorry loss I am miss her lot praying for family and friend
