William Ignatius “Bill” Glaser, 71, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at home.
He was born in Wheeling, March 22, 1950, the son of the late Robert and Margaret (Robinson) Glaser. Bill was a Catholic by faith and attended Mass regularly. He was a US Navy Veteran, a graduate of Wheeling College and received a degree in Industrial Relations and retired from the post office after many years of service. Bill was an avid gardener and hunter and was always perfecting his landscaping skills.
Bill is survived by his six siblings, Mary Gotses of Wheeling, Kathy (Mark) Boehm of Wheeling, Eleanor (David) Schmid of Wheeling, John (Donna) Glaser of Cincinnati, OH, Robert Glaser of Cincinnati and Philip Glaser of Wheeling; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, the Grella family and close friends, Becky and Jake.
Family and friends were received Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 10 am until time of Mass of Christian burial at 11 am at St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Wiley. Interment was held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors provided by Moundsville Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Right to Life or to Mother Theresa’s Missionary of Charity in C/O www.tmcfunding.com.
