ROBINSON, William L., 69, of McMechen, W.Va., died Monday, June 5, 2017 at Cumberland Point Nursing Home.
He was born January 21, 1948 in Moundsville, W.Va., a son of the late James J. Robinson and Martha L. (Workman) Robinson Toler. He was a 1968 graduate of the Union High School in Benwood, W.Va. He was retired from McKeen Security and the Clarke Paper Company of Wheeling. He was a member of Ye Olde County Church in Wheeling and the McMechen Volunteer Fire Department.
Among his interests were demolition derbies, restoring cars, was an avid golfer, and loved to joke.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his step-father, Mike Toler, and one sister, Sara Holmes.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Tucker) Robinson; one brother, David (Sherry) Toler of Glen Easton, W.Va.; two sisters, Rebecca Clark of Moundsville, and Candace “Candy” McVaney of Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 2-8 pm and on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen with Rev. Frank Hay officiating. Interment will follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
